Review : Samsung Galaxy ACE S5830

Samsung’s Galaxy ACE is an Android Touch Screen Phone and looks more like the Apple iPhone.

The Phone comes with an 800 MHz processor and has an in-built RAM of 278 MB for better access.

This phone shows up with a 3.5” screen display with better viewing angles. The display is made of Gorilla glass (- glass used as windshield in helicopters), which mean less scratches. This phone has the multi-touch input method, which makes zoom into pictures and browse lengthy web pages possible.

The phone has 5 Megapixel camera with LED Flash. A pretty decent camera for normal usage. Video recording is done in 3gp format. This phone doesn’t have a front camera meaning no video call, which is negative.

This phone comes with 3.5 mm audio jack with DNSe sound enhancement. The hands free (headphone) provided with the phone is horrible with no proper sound effects observed. The sound effect of the phone’s speaker is pretty decent in the smart phone segment.

The phone supports up to 32 Gb of external memory and the phone is bundled with a 2 Gb memory card.

Regarding connectivity, the phone supports Bluetooth 2.1, AGPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and High Speed USB connectivity 2.0.

Battery life of Samsung Galaxy ACE was worse in Android 2.2 and much better in Android 2.3.

Android market helps in getting various kinds of applications and games for Android devices. Third party Android applications can also be installed and used in this device.

Final Verdict:  A pretty decent phone in the Smart phone segment in a pretty decent price.
